Notes:
- Before use, make sure that all components are completely dry
- The mold can be be rubbed off with an oily rag before using.
- To protect against rust, we recommend cleaning with an oily rag after each use.
- Use oil paper for storage.
- When using the mold for the first time plaese heat it up until it turns brown to black. If at hand, you can additionally apply some oil (e.g. linseed oil) beforehand. This will produce a protective layer guaranteeing a long life.
The Meuser-Kokille was developed by a goldsmith for goldsmiths and provides the following benefits:
- The lid is closed by its own weight. No clip is needed.
- The cover, with its recesses directly on the legs. Thus, he always has the right position.
- The sprue is by itself an angle so the liquid metal can flow smoothly into the mold, instead of falling into it. So that avoids that air bubbles are trapped.
- The required quantities are engraved into the mold - you have it right in front of your eyes eyes and you never figure out again how much metal you need to fill the form.
- Two sprues for metal castings allow up to 120g Gold (750) or 80g silver.
- The sprue are particularly large, thereby casting is easier and safer.
- The ends of the castings are round, material loss is minimized.
- The three sprues for wire have equal diameter but different lengths.
- Of course, it can be heated prior to casting with the flame or in the oven.
