The new brazing paste flux

This brazing and soldering paste is a new flux which is designed for soft solders and melts at about 100 °C lower than Borax. Our paste is therefore especially suitable for repairs on old items as well as new ones.

Advantages:

Lower melting temperature. It also flows easier without forming bubbles. The flux can be removed with hot water after soldering.

Application:
for silver, copper, brass, nickel, bronze, nickel alloys, stainless steel, iron alloys, and nonferrous alloys.

lt is also suitable for 8 ct gold alloys when lower temperature solders are used. Applied like borax paste. lf necessary the paste can be diluted with water. Especially useful for easy flowing silver solders, such as No. 4790. Not suitable for temperatures over 900 °C.

For higher temperatures Borax mixtures are better because the flux starts to decompose at 900 °C. The vapour irritates nose, eyes and throat. Be careful and use under good ventilation when larger quantities and higher temperatures are used.
